1. In a small bowl, combine the paprika, brown sugar, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Rub the mixture all over the pork shoulder.
2. Place the sliced onion in the bottom of a slow cooker. Add the seasoned pork shoulder on top of the onions.
3. Pour the apple cider vinegar around the pork, then cover and cook on low for 8 hours, or until the pork is tender and easily shredded.
4. Once cooked, remove the pork from the slow cooker and shred with two forks. Stir in the BBQ sauce and mix to coat.
5. Serve the pulled pork on buns, or alongside coleslaw and baked beans.
